College of Engineering at Mustansiriyah University

College of Engineering at Mustansiriyah University was established in 1985 with three main departments: Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering, and Department of Mechanical Engineering. Four engineering departments were then established: Department of Environmental Engineering: introduced in the academic year (1994-1995), Department of Computer and Software Engineering: introduced in the academic year (1996-1997), Department of Highways and Transportation Engineering: introduced in the academic year (1998-1999), Department of Materials Engineering: introduced in the academic year (1998-1999, Department of Architecture: introduced in the academic year (2013-2014) and Department of Water Resources: introduced in the academic year (2017-2018).

The Vision of College of Engineering/ Mustansiriyah University is to look forward to interactive college with its scientific and professional environment in meeting the needs of the society, the development and the environmental protection by providing opportunities for learning, research and training in accordance with the standards of quality, academic accreditation and in harmony with the cultural heritage of Mustansiriyah University

The College of Engineering seeks to advance its scientific and Administrative sites in order to achieve its mission where the faculty provides educational, research and training programs within a framework of cultural, social and ethical values to graduate cadres of various engineering disciplines suitable for the labor market and able to compete locally and internationally
